European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Clesa, a producer of dairy products, is dismissing 360 workers at its site in Madrid. The Commercial Court of Madrid approved a Record of Employment Regulation (ERE) which has been requested by the liquidator. The ERE will apply after a period of negotiation between the liquidator and the company's committee.
The company has been in the hands of the liquidator since the beginning of 2011. The bankruptcy is blamed on the negative impact of crisis on the whole Nueva Rumasa group.
