Description
Samsung Electronics Slovakia, the biggest TV producer in Slovakia, dismissed 181 workers in Galanta.
Redundancies are linked to impact of the economic crisis to which the management responded by internal restructuring and the introduction of new technologies. According to the company HRM Anton Ondrej, jobs which were performed by eight workers before the crisis, are now performed by four workers.
Despite the number of workers is decreasing, the production volume is increasing and the Company produces about 25,000 television sets each day.
