European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Continental del Gaucho, manufacturer of motor vehicle components, has announced the closure of its plant in Coslada (Madrid) dismissing 168 employees. An agreement with the work council has not been reached yet. The Council arrogates that the jobs should be all maintained either by relocating staff to other plants on Spain or by selling the plant as a whole to a competitor.
Continental del Gaucho is a subsidiary of the German multinational Continental Group.
