Description
On 26 May 2011 the local transport company of The Hague (HTM) announced that it will cut 450 to 500 jobs. The job cuts are attributed to recent budget cuts announced by the central government. The first wave of restructuring will mostly affect administrative staff and employees on fixed-term contract. In a second phase, the company intends to cut its core business by scrapping tram lines.
