Description

Johnson & Johnson announced a worldwide restructuring plan envisaging up to 1,000 job losses.

The company announced it will close its Cordis corporation manufacturing plant at Cashel (Ireland) resulting in the loss of 133 employees and a further 90 part-time contract workers; other Cordis plants in Puerto Rico and the United States will be affected by the restructuring.

Cordis started consultation procedures and did not yet announce a precise timeline for the closure.

Cordis is part of the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical group and produces interventional vascular technology.
