On 2 June 2011, construction, gardening and household equipment vendor OBI opened a new hypermarket in Poznań, where 150 people are expected to be hired. This is their first shop in Poznań (as well as in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship) and thirty-seventh in Poland. OBI has been operating since 1998 in Poland and the company plans further business expansions in Poland.
