On 14 April, French supermarket chain Carrefour opened a hypermarket in Opole where 120 people will be hired. The company expects to open some 300 smaller supermarkets near housing estates and at least 30 Carrefour Express stores across Poland throughout 2011.
Carrefour has been operating in Poland since 1997Â and has 350 supermarkets and 44 petrol stations across the country.
