European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 14 April, French supermarket chain Carrefour opened a hypermarket in Opole where 120 people will be hired. The company expects to open some 300 smaller supermarkets near housing estates and at least 30 Carrefour Express stores across Poland throughout 2011.
Carrefour has been operating in Poland since 1997 and has 350 supermarkets and 44 petrol stations across the country.
