Description

On 13 May 2011, a manufacturer of ceramic tiles Valdi Ceramica opened a factory in Stąporków in the Special Economic Zone of Starachowice, where initially 140 people were hired and additional 40 employees are expected to be hired by the end of 2011. The plant is located near natural clay deposits and region where clay industry has strong tradition. The factory has technologically advanced installations and a production will be based on Italian designers' projects. The company started in 2008 the investment worth 150 million PLN from which over 41 million PLN was public support (from the Operational Programme Innovative Economy).
