Description
The private Hospital Plató, which belongs to the Public Utility Hospitals Net (Xarxa d'Hospitals d'Utilitat Pública) of Catalonia, has announced the intention to apply for a redundancy procedure affecting 50 employees. The reasons behind this measure are the expenditure cuts in the health budget which are being implemented by the Catalan Government. According to the union UGT, the dismissals will affect workers with open-ended contracts who have been employed for more than 5 years.
