Description

Mobile phone developer Nokia is to close its development department in Copenhagen Denmark where 950 employees will be made redundant. This was announced by Nokia in a press release issued on 27 April 2011. The dismissals are part of a major restructuring plan which also involves the relocation of Danish development activities to China. Only 250 employees in the sales and marketing department are left at the headquaters in Copenhagen. Nokia and the government will promote activities aimed at helping redundant employees to find other jobs.
