Description
Les Coopérateurs de Normandie, a supermarket chain, announced its plans to lay off 130 employees and relocate 100 people internally. The company intends to close shops of its discount chain Le Mutant and of its butcher's shop Rosbif; located in the départements la Sarthe and la Mayenne dans les Pays de Loire, Ille-et-Vilaine and Seine-Maritime. The management intends to adopt a social plan and close the stores before September. The main reasons behind this move are a large drop in consumer demand and the increasing competition in the discount market.
