Description
On 10 February, Belgian icecream group announced an internal restructuring resulting in 162 job losses and the closure of two sites (Chênée and Kurne). Unions were aware that the company was in a bad financial situation but they did not expect the restructuring measures to be so drastic. They rather expected a sale of the company. The company has launched the first phase of the so called 'Renault' process in which the employer presents the restructuring plan and the trade unions try to find alternatives.
