Dumfries-based construction firm R&D Construction has announced that it is to make 205 people redundant as the company called in administrators Ernst & Young. The remainder of the workforce is being retained on a short-term basis. Initial concerns about the firm's future emerged a week ago when wage payments were delayed, staff were told not to report to work on Monday 4th April.
