European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 30 March 2011, the management of Volvo Trucks announced a business expansion in Oostaker which will result in the creation of 200 new jobs. The job creation is attributable to a recent business revival and a significant increase of demand. The company has already converted 200 temporary contracts into open ended contracts and they now intend to hire 200 new skilled workers for the production of Volvo's first hybrid truck which is expected to be delivered in June 2011.
