European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Železnična spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK), a public passenger transport railway company, will dismiss 231 out of 4,900 employees till the end of May 2011. Dismissals are attributed to the implementation of the recovery plan for railways. The job cuts will reduce the operation costs by about € 880,000 in 2011. Transport on several dozens of scheduled lines will be reduced and some regional lines will be even terminated.
