Description
Up to 125 jobs are set to be cut at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust in a bid to save £8.5m in the next financial year - 5% of its budget. Managers have blamed government-imposed cuts, a reduction in treatment payments and changes to NHS financing. The Trust is accepting applications for voluntary redundancies while it has entered a consultation period with the unions.
