European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Belgium frozen vegatables producer Ardo-Finus has presented a redundancy procedure (expediente de regulacíon de empleo, ERE) which will result in the loss of all 104 jobs in the Albacete factory. The company has justified the redundancy procedure (still to be enacted by the labour authority) on economic grounds. However, the trade union representatives disagrees with the reasons that the company put forward to justify the redundancies. The trade union representatives and the management are currently negotiating the closure conditions.
