Description
Portuguese sofa manufacturer Aquinos is to create 150 new jobs in a new production plant in Povoa de Lanhoso. The company will invest one million euro in the new facility which will be operational in March 2011. According to the president of the board, the choice of this location (in Vale do Ave) is linked to the available manpower specialized in sewing, since this is an area where the textile industry had a strong presence but suffered a severe crisis in recent years.
