Description

Haringey council has announced that it is to cut over 1000 jobs in an attempt to cut £84m from a total budget of £273m over the next three years. The council has indicated that services will be cut back for young and elderly people, and less will be spent on libraries and leisure facilities. The council has also begun discussions with neighbouring Waltham Forest Council about the possibility of sharing some services, including legal services and school meals.
