Description
After reaching an agreement with the unions, high-end clothing retailer Liz Claiborne will apply for the redundancy procedure (Expediente de Regulación de Empleo) resulting in the loss of 323 jobs. Some 147 of the affected employees have been offered other positions with Mexx Southern Europe, the group to which Liz Claiborne belongs. These employees will receive a redundancy pay of 25 days' pay for every year's service. The rest of the employees will receive a redundancy pay equivalent to 40 days' pay per year of service.
