European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 7th February, the management of 3 Suisses organized an exceptional works council during which they announced a restructuring plan affecting the Belgian location of the group in Tournai. Around 160 jobs will be cut.
The dismissals will be carried out in three stages. The first 40 jobs will be cut in June 2011, another 40 jobs are expected to go by the end of September and, finally, the remaining affected jobs will be cut by the end of 2012. The main departments impacted by this restructuring are administration, marketing and logistics. The Minister-President of Wallonia is seeking a solution to reduce the negative impact of this restructuring.
