Description
Roche, the Swiss pharmaceutical company, has announced plans to reduce its Spanish workforce of 1,928 by 190 in 2011. The areas around Madrid and Barcelona will be impacted the most by the job reductions. The restructuring would mainly affect two divisions in Spain - Roche Farma (1.245 employees) and Roche Diagnostics (683 employees). The job losses in Spain are part of a worldwide cutback with repercussions in various countries (see related fact sheet).
