European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On December 29th 2010, The French Ministry for National Education announced its plan to dismiss 16,000 teachers over the 2011 academic year. The dismissals begin in January and will continue gradually and evenly throughout the country. The plan was created in order to respond to funding cuts and a decline in the student population.
