Description
Forensic Science Service, a state agency employing 1,600 people is to close by March 2012. The government believes that the private sector which currently supplies 40% of the states forensic services will expand to fill the gap. There has been concern from leading criminology experts that the move will undermine the UK's reputation at the forefront of forensic science.
