European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Leicestershire County Council announced that it plans to cut 1,000 posts over the next 4 years. The council is making the cuts in order to save £82m over the period. Jobs will be lost through staff turnover and natural wastage, but compulsory redundancies have not been ruled out.
