European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 6th January 2010, the postal express company Ducros Express presented its restructuring plan to its Works Council. The plan will affect up to 700 jobs and envisages at least 500 forced dismissals. The restructuring plan also includes changes in employment contract and internal mobility. Ducros belongs to the French group Caravelle who acquired it from Deutsche Post DHL last summer.
update 18-03-2011. Management and employee representatives agreed to preserve 100 jobs. The dismissal will affect 457 positions rather the 557 expected.
