European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Hungarian post company, Magyar Posta has initiated the redundancy of 140 employees. The notification has been sent to the authorities whilst the consultation with the social partners started on the 16 November 2010. The final decision was made on the 16 December 2010. The Post employs about 36,000 employees. The job losses are part of a large internal restructuring programme aimed at streamlining operations and increasing efficiency of administrative roles.
