Description
Komet entered into liquidation resulting in the loss of its entire workforce, 254 employees.
Komet is a producer of underwear from Metlika in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija region.
The shareholders have decided to liquidate the company because it cannot cope any more with the competition from Far East imports.
UPDATE 01-07-2011: As reported by Finance newspaper, the final outcome of the liquidation of Komet is that 159 people lost their jobs, 15 have retained their jobs in Komet while 80 moved to company Komet Plus which rented the production capacities of Komet.
