Description

On 6 December 2010, the management of Hygena, a subsidiary of the Swedish group Nobia, announced to its Work Council a reduction of 118 positions from the total workforce of 1,100 employees and will close 11 shops in France by March 2011. However, management has explained that the company intends to avoid compulsory redundancies with voluntary departures or internal or external transfers. Management expect to reach an agreement on the social plan next January and dismissals could start in March if they can't be avoided.
