Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 26 November 2010 a bus, coach and trolleybus manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach announced the expansion of its production and the creation of 320 jobs. The production of trams, which has already started, takes place in two Solaris plants. The first stage of production is in Środa Wielkopolska, where steel structures are produced and the second in Poznań, where trams are finally mounted. The opening of a new production line in the factory in Środa Wielkopolska resulted in the creation of 120 new jobs while in early December 200 new workers started a montage in plant in Poznań.
Solaris Bus & Coach is a family-owned business, which was founded in 1994 in Poland. The company supplies its products mainly to Polish and other European markets.
