European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The shipping company Stena has announced that it is stopping sailings on a Lancashire to Northern Ireland route at the end of the year. The lines closure will result in the loss of 140 jobs. The company said it had not option other than to close the line as it was making a serious loss despite cost saving measures already having been taken.
