Description
On 24 November 2010 VF Poland, a jeans manufacturer, announced plans to dismiss 1,100 people and terminate operations in its factory in Łódź in the first half of 2011. The company will start implementing a collective dismissal programme as of 3 January 2011. VF Poland collaborates with the Poviat Unemployment Office in Łódź and it plans to achieve agreements with workers in order to support them in finding new jobs. Remaining 40 people will work in a warranty service.
