Description
Knowsley Council has announced plans to cut 400 jobs in a bid to reduce a shortfall of £30m as a result of the proposed government cuts. According to the trade union Unison, as many jobs as possible will be lost through voluntary redundancy. The job losses are likely to be implemented by end of March 2011.
