The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 9 November 2010, the Spanish low-cost airline Vueling announced its intention to create 150 jobs in Blagnac, near Toulouse, through an investment of 30 million Euros in the area. Scheduled flights from the new location, which represents the company's first non-Spanish venture, are due to begin in May 2011. The company also plans to begin flying from seven new destinations, which include direct flights from Toulouse to Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Malaga, Ibiza, Pisa and Venice.
