European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On September 2010, Tensai, a Portuguese manufacturer of refrigerators and other cooling equipment, inaugurated a new factory in Estarreja creating 154 new jobs. The total worth of this investment is 22.3 million Euros. This job creation results from the closure of two factories (Aveiro and Trofa) whose activities were relocated to this new unit. The business expansion will reinforce the position of Tensai as leader in this sector in the Iberic Peninsula and as a main exporter to contries such as: Spain, France, Italy, Caribbean, Africa and Arab countries.
