Description
Hertfordshire County Council has announced that it is to cut 1000-1100 jobs. The authority said that it faced a 28% cut to its grant from central government. £110m in savings have been identified that the council says won't affect front line services. The organisation hopes to avoid compulsory redundancies by transferring staff to outsourced provision and asking for volunteers for redundancy and early retirement.
