Description
On the 27th of April 2012, 409 employees of the supermarket network Coop Alsace received their dismissal letters. This happened in the framework of a plan of voluntary departures announced in October 2011. It was originally planned that the dismissals will take place on 1 November 2011, but the management delayed the decision.
Currently, the group is negotiating a merger with two competitors, Casino and Leclerc, where new job cuts may occur.
