UWV, the Dutch public organisation that is responsible for the administration of unemployment and disability benefits, will eliminate 2,300 jobs over the next two and a half year. The organization has indicated that they anticipate more redundancies in the future.
Update: On 14 March 2011, the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment announced that in the next four years even more jobs will be scrapped: the total will lie between 5000 and 6000. The Cabinets wants to cut the budget for the organization of social security by € 2.5 billion.
