Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 19 January 2010 Phoenix Mecano announced 500 new jobs this year at the plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.The management of the Swiss based company announced in the beginning of the year the expansion of the production of inverter transformers used for solar collectors. Parallel to the investment for a new 81000 square meters established production plant, 513 new jobs were added to the 937 existing. Now the project has been completed says the managing director of the plant in Kecskemét, recruiting process ended until 29 September 2010, so they have 1450 employees in total.The company is an internationally well-known manufacturer for the wide range of electromechanical parts, producing various electric enclosures, terminal blocks, test probes and operating enclosures. They offer a system of aluminium profiles, complete handling technology for mechanical engineering, drive systems and drive units for hospital beds and for furniture industry.
