Description

One of the world's leading tobacco companies, Bat, has announced its plan to close its plant in Lecce, which employs 310 workers. The closure of the Lecce plant is part of a restructuring plan that the company has announced for its European plants. In order to minimize the local impact of the closure, the company is actively seeking other firms that may be interested in investing in Lecce. The company has started negotiations with local authorities and trade unions.
