European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On June 26, the board of the University Hospital of Caen (CHU) announced that it will begin a programme of job cuts whereby 200 jobs will be cut by the end of 2010 followed by 100 additional cuts in both 2011 and 2012. The hospital will not be using direct dismissals, but retiring employees will not be replaced. Unions have begun distributing leaflets to community members to express their disapproval.
