European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 1st September, the French subsidiary of T-Systems (Deutsche Telekom group) announced its intention to cut 324 jobs as part of an internal reorganization effort. The union, CFDT, said that all sites will be affected, including major sites like Villepinte and La Defense. The union is also concerned about the Nantes (Loire-Atlantique, 80 employees) site. Unfortunately there will be only a few voluntary departures, most of the workforce reduction will come in the form of direct dismissals.
