Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
According to the government decision (no. 728 /21 July 2010) published in the Official Journal no. 512/22 July 2010, the Romanian government is to eliminate 2,484 jobs at the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection and its subordinated institutions, in a bid to reduce expenses.
The job cuts will affect different institutions:- Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection /Ministerul Muncii, Familiei si Protectiei Sociale (307 job cuts)- National Agency for Employment/Agentia Nationala pentru Ocuparea Fortei de Munca (720)- National Agency for Social Benefits / Agentia Nationala pentru Prestatii Sociale (344)- Labour Inspection Office /Inspectia Muncii (105)- National House for Pensions and other Social Insurance Rights/Casa Nationala de Pensii si alte Drepturi de Asigurari Social (1,008)
