European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
1100 employees are to lose their jobs following the bankruptcy of Prevent Avtomobilski deli, a producer of car seat covers based in Slovenj Gradec in the Koroška region. The company is owned by the Prevent Global holding company. In spite of internal restructuring done during the last year, the company has not managed to survive a severe drop in orders from customers due to a downturn in car manufacturing. The existing owners of Prevent Global have declined to rescue the subsidiary and bankruptcy was declared in August 2010.
