Description
PZL Swidnik, a manufacturer of helicopters and aviation parts, internal restructuring plan and will cut its workforce by 450 jobs. According to some press reports published in June, about 90 jobs were cut by measures other than direct dismissals: 70 employees left their jobs voluntarily and 20 have already acquired early retirement benefits. The rest is said to be laid off. Earlier this year the company announced a voluntary dismissals program, but fewer workers accepted it than expected (300) leading to the decision to introduce collective dismissals. The restructuring process is being implemented by AugustaWestald, a new owner of the factory.
