Description
Powys Council plans to make 500 employees redundant in a bid to achieve savings of £16 over the next four years. The cuts are blamed on reduced government funding and growing economic pressures. The cutbacks are most likely to be met by natural wastage, including retirements and not filling vacancies. However, compulsory redundancies have not been ruled out.
