Description
Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge has announced plans to cut 170 nursing jobs as part of attempts to find savings of up to £40 over the next three years. The proposal foresees that the cuts are going to be implemented by natural wastage from staff turnover. The hospital has already imposed a recruitment freeze. A scrutiny committee set up by Cambridgeshire County Council plans to investigate the reasons for the cuts and what alternatives have been considered.
