Description
Up to 500 jobs to be lost at Bolton Council. It has agreed the proposals in a bid to reduce its budget by £50m, as it anticipates a drop in government grants, and has said it will look for volunteers for retirement and redundancies, to limit the number of direct dismissals. No time line was given for when these cuts would take place.
