European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The new management of travel agency company Marsans has announced that it plans to make 1200-1500 workers redundant. The management has met the workers' committee to start to negotiate a redundancy procedure that aims to reduce the 2,079 staff to between 600 and 900. These dismissals are considered essential by the group to make the company commercially viable.
