Description

US multinational cable maker General Cable has agreed a plan with unions to cut 145 jobs across four centres in Catalonia. 206 dismissals had been planned by the company, which has suffered a severe drop in sales since 2009 with no confidence of a recovery soon. The 145 layoffs are to be made through voluntary redundancise and early retirement.
